HHN is a registered 501.c.3 nonprofit organization #92-0175716. Donations are tax
deductible as defined by law. As an all volunteer organization with no salary and
facility expenses, 100% of your donation goes to the Nepal project.
GIRL-CHILD SCHOLARSHIPS
Provides scholarships to keep girls in school grades 1-12. Most Nepali girls drop
out by the third grade to do manual labor at home for the family's survival.
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Kantipur and Heifer Project/Nepal, scholarship
recipients are selected and their progress monitored.
HHN/RBS BOOK PROJECT
When HHN receives book donations, that�s only half the project. Money is needed to
send the requested books to Nepal. Volunteers provide the boxes, plastic bags,
labels, and manual labor to pack and ship the books. Please contact HHN directly
regarding book donations and shipping details.
Current medical texts and professional journals are needed for teaching hospital libraries.
MEDICAL EMERGENCY FUND FOR NEPAL
Interest from this fund provides life-saving surgeries and procedures for indigent
Nepalis with no other hope.
NATIONAL KIDNEY FOUNDATION
Kathmandu has a high standard dialysis center used by Nepalis and visitors. Sponsors
are needed to facilitate this vital treatment, especially for women.
NEPAL HISTORIC PHOTOGRAPH PRESERVATION PROJECT
HHN has been asked to assist with the preservation of historic photographs dating back
to the late 1800s. They are the work of photographer Kiran Chitrakar, and his grandfather
and father, both of whom were court photographers. The collection includes over 1,600
glass plate negatives of historical and cultural significance.

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEDGED
These scholarships benefit girls and students of traditionally low castes to attain
higher education in Nepal. Education is a lane on the road out of poverty.
SISTER CITIES FOR NEPAL
Are you interested in a Sister City relationship in Nepal? Currently there is
only one such relationship: Kathmandu and Eugene, Oregon. The Municipality of
Thimi, just 30 minutes from Kathmandu, is seeking a U.S. Sister City through
